Where are you with the cube?
Pick the line that sounds like you. Each path is a short list of steps in the right order, and every step opens the exact screen you need. Steps tick themselves off as you complete them.
- Scramble shows you how to turn the cube for each move of a random scramble, and can walk you back to solved by undoing it.
- Solve works out a solution for your cube and shows every turn.
- Learn starts with the 18 basic turns, then has the algorithms for each method. Watch them or practise them move by move.
- Timer times your solves, by tap or hands-free with the camera, and charts your progress.
Always hold the cube as the pill at the top says. On a phone, add this page to your home screen to use it like an app.

Check my cube
The cube unfolded flat: top on top, bottom at the bottom, the four sides in a row with the front in the middle. If yours does not match, press Back a few times and redo the turns.
Keyboard shortcuts

Solve the cube in your hand
I build a full solution with the layer-by-layer method and walk you through every turn, with the same tricks each time so they become automatic.
Hold your cube white on top, green facing you. Pick a colour, then tap the stickers. Centres stay fixed.
Case drills
The cube is set to a random case and turned a random amount, like in a real solve. Solve it any way you like: swipe the cube, tap the pad, or use the keys. The clock starts on your first turn and stops the instant the layer is solved.
Cross trainer
Fast solvers plan the whole cross during inspection and finish it in 8 moves or fewer. Scramble your real cube with the moves below (white on top, green in front), then turn it over so white is on the bottom. Plan the cross without touching the cube, then solve it here to check.
Press New scramble to begin.
Metronome
Turning slowly at a steady beat forces your eyes to find the next piece while your hands are still moving. Solve to the beat, one turn per tick. When a pace feels easy with no pauses, raise it by 10.
The metronome keeps ticking while you use the Timer tab.
Hands-free: point the camera at the cube. Tap Arm, hold still for 1.5 s, and the clock starts on your first turn. It stops when the cube is still again for 1.5 s.
Camera off.
Space bar works too: hold, release to start, press to stop. In camera mode, space arms the camera.
